It’s been a week all about the importance of branding for me, as I just closed off week 1 of a 2 week branding masterclass that I’m providing to everyone for free (you can sign up for week 2 HERE if you want to catch it, but do so now, to make sure that you get a spot while it’s still available for free).
I want to share my responses to questions that kept coming up during the masterclass, as re-occurring themes with the attendees (in case you may also be grappling with any of them):
#1 most commonly asked question: How do I stand out in such a saturated marketplace and compete with big brands with bottomless marketing budgets, when I’m just starting out and have minimal money to spend?
- My answer: You need to create and dial in an air tight brand strategy that is intentional to your required goal, and use it as a foundation to create your “go to” marketing messages, so that it’s always anchored and aligned to your brand strategy. There is a deliberate connection between your brand strategy, marketing messages, and consumer loyalty.
#2 most commonly asked question: How do I create a brand strategy, I know nothing about branding?
- My answer: Like anything in life that is set up for success, you need to follow a proven process to guide you through a step-by-step process. I have 2 ways that you can do that with me (I shared the 2 ways in the masterclass, so if you want to know, register HERE for one of next week’s 4 remaining sessions, because I won’t be talking about these past next week).
#3 most commonly asked question: Do I need a brand strategy when I have a marketing strategy?
- My answer: In order for your marketing plan to work, you need direction for every touch point that your product, service, or company has with your consumer, and it needs to have recognizable aspects to it so that when people “meet” you, they can focus in on you regardless of the noise around you. This is everything from the brand name to the logo to the language used and how these tell the story about the value proposition that you have to offer them. This is not possible without incorporating brand strategy.
