THE OPEN CHEST
CONFIDENCE FOUNDATION

Supporting Women & Girls Who Do Not
Have The Means To Invest In Nurturing
Their Full Potential Due To A Limited
Self-Perception, Society's Conditioning
And Life's Unfortunate Circumstances

OUR WHY:

  1. Our co-owners have longtime lived experience with diversity & gender related prejudice (Raj Girn), and with low-income & body image (Belinda Ginter), which made it very challenging for them to rise up.
Against the odds, they both did and are now in self-made leadership positions of liberation, independence, and abundance. But they did it the hard way over many decades, failures, and life lessons.
Today, they are on a mission to make it easier for women & girls facing these and similar issues that are holding them back from reaching their full potential.
  2. Our co-owners are steeped in spiritual and faith-based practices that have taught them to give back. Raj is a born Sikh-Hindu, who has also adopted many modalities that point to the Divine, predominantly Buddhism and Christianity. Belinda is a born Christian, who practices her faith religiously and accepts all modalities that point to God.

Their collective mandate with the Foundation
is to eliminate these 3 GAPS

1. THE CONFIDENCE GAP

“Evidence shows that women are less self-assured than men, and that to succeed, confidence matters as much as competence.

Half a dozen global studies, conducted by the likes of Goldman Sachs and Columbia University, have found that companies employing women in large numbers outperform their competitors on every measure of profitability.

Our competence has never been more obvious. Those who closely follow society’s shifting values see the world moving in a female direction.”

2. THE DREAM GAP

“The Dream Gap for young girls still exists, but new research shows the challenges don’t lie in girls lacking self-confidence or drive – the gaps often occur in the world around them.

Even though progress has been made toward gender equality, stereotypes and societal biases still exist that can affect a girl’s trajectory and future choices.”

3. THE ALLYSHIP GAP

“A recent study offers a different approach, proposing that men as allies to women are the missing ingredient in achieving gender equity, that diversity and inclusivity is a leadership issue at all levels, and that organizations should cultivate workplace cultures that value and encourage allyship behaviors intentionally aimed at fostering gender equality.”

OUR COMMITMENT

To invest in women who are being held back by any/all of the 3 GAPS and have the scars to prove it.

To invest in women who cannot afford to invest in themselves but show great drive and discipline.

If given the right resources, these women would most definitely excel in all aspects of life, and contribute positively to women’s diversity, equity, and inclusion movement!
